Founded in 2007, the Rio Rancho Community Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 with a mission to promote charitable activities and excellence in community affairs within the City of Rio Rancho, communities in Sandoval County and Albuquerque’s Westside.
The Rio Rancho Community Foundation recieves funding through several sources including endowments, bequests, donations, memorials and it signature annual fundraising events, “The Mayors’ Gala”. The Foundation administers grants to nonprofit (501c3) organizations on an annual basis.
Mission of the Rio Rancho Community Foundation
The mission of the Rio Rancho Community Foundation is to promote charitable activities and excellence in community affairs within the City of Rio Rancho and the surrounding communities in Sandoval County and Albuquerque’s Westside. The Foundation is not organized to promote the educational activities of the Rio Rancho Public Schools or in any way promote fundraising for the Rio Rancho Public Schools.
The Purpose of the Rio Rancho Community Foundation
Additionally, the Foundation’s purpose is to receive and maintain a fund or funds, subject to the limitations and restrictions hereinafter set forth, for use and application to the promotion and success of the City of Rio Rancho and the surrounding communities in Sandoval County and Albuquerque’s Westside.
